This means he might not react super romantically or seem super attached sometimes, and might not immediately give in to intimacy cues. While he may have negative or seemingly-ignoring reactions to romances and might take a while to let his guard down, it's not an intent to shut the relationships down.
Fully negative CR is cool, especially if it's funny. Cater is nice, but he doesn't mind a fight if he has to bring one, especially when it means he can pull his duplication trick.

magical info: Cater is a student mage at a prestigious school for promising mages, meaning he's by default more apt than many humans in his world with magical abilities. However, he is not a magical creature like his fae classmates nor is he from a family that required him to train with any particular dedication like Leona. While his power isn't comparable to Malleus or Leona's, Cater does seem to be fairly adept for his age and is at least on par with his teammates. Because he likes to take things easy, it's possible he also underperforms slightly to avoid being charged with harder assignments or higher expectations.
Cater tells others that his Unique Magic/Signature Spell, Split Card, tires him out. However, he also seems to use Split Card willy-nilly fairly often and doesn't actually show himself as being particularly tired; he is able to complete a full exercise after trying to avoid doing it by splitting, even though his clones had previously completed a lap of the run each. Cater is also capable of doing other kinds of magic for periods of time; he is shown growing several different mandrakes over the course of a class period without showing much fatigue. This could mean that while he isn't as thoroughly trained as more experienced mages, Cater might have fairly deep magical reserves OR it could just mean he recovers quickly, or that the spell can't be sustained for long periods of time but doesn't leave him feeling fatigued. He's also not shown to struggle with blot despite the way he uses his magic.
TL;DR: I'm not entirely sure how strong a mage he is, but he's at least on par with his human peer Trey and they're both Not Bad.

This allows him to create clones of himself, which seem to function similarly to Shadow Clones in Naruto. These clones are not separate consciousnesses from Cater and seem to share memories with him. Upon being 'killed', these clones will disappear into cards and sparkles. I'm not sure how canon the 4komas are, but in one of them Cater suggests he can't sustain Split Card for a full class period, but in other material suggests that it's all a matter of his mood.

appearance: like his classmates Azul and Silver, Cater is 176cm or about 5'9. He isn't particularly broad, but not as lithely shaped as some of his daintier classmates.
voice: Dorm Uniform Voice Lines (YT). He's got a gentle tenor voice and speaks with a cadence similar to a toned-down gyaru, often making references to pop culture and millenial-and-younger language.
scent: not like axe, but like Boy Fragrances. Kind of peppery leaning, mild citrus notes, maybe a little cinnamony.
demeanor: EXTROVERT at first glance, but he enjoys his alone time too. He's just done really well to learn to navigate social situations, and coming across supes friendly usually leads to the best results. He can seem airheaded to those who don't know him better, and seems to have shit priorities if you don't like Influencers. He can quickly show himself to be particularly cunning and forward thinking, taking exceptional consideration for circumstances and context.
